Description: Amphora Vase is a semi abstract still life study from my ongoing Objects of Desire series. This work explores the vessel as both object and symbol, drawing on my long held fascination with form, contour, and decorative pattern.
The amphora shape becomes a framework for rhythm and repetition. Line moves around the form, holding colour in tension and balance. As with much of my work, I lean into pattern as a way of thinking through structure, memory, and attachment to beautiful things.
