Description: Tribute was painted in the same period of grief and reflection as She Left the Room. It forms part of that quiet internal dialogue that followed the loss of my dear friend.
By painting, I found myself in conversation with her. She was an artist and a great supporter of my creative journey. The canvas became a space where our dialogue could still exist.
Unlike She Left the Room, this work leans fully into dynamic semi-abstraction. Colour, rhythm, and layered line carry the emotion. Movement replaces words. Pattern becomes memory.
It is a work of honouring, of gratitude, and of holding her presence in a way that feels alive.
