Description:
Visual Echo of Below is a suspended sculptural painting inspired by the bathypelagic zone — a deep-sea realm where pressure, darkness, and bioluminescence give rise to lifeforms both alien and extraordinary.

Crafted from individually painted fabric strips, the work flows and shifts with the air, echoing the rhythms of underwater movement. A graphic black-and-white base anchors the form, while fluorescent accents suggest fleeting flashes of life in the dark. Under UV light, the piece glows — revealing an alternate visual experience that feels sentient, watchful, and alive.

This work explores the tension between visibility and concealment, the seen and the sensed. It asks us to look again, to feel our way into what lies beneath.
